The Education and Training Inspectorate (ETI) inspection took place in the College from
02 - 05 February 2009.
- The Inspectorate observed 73 sessions taught by 42 academic staff.
- Inspectors and College staff also conducted 25 significant
discussions which focused on staff roles and responsibilities and on the self-evaluation process.
- Four formal discussions were held with groups of students as well as a range of informal talks with
many individuals.
- Inspectors also visited 8 students from Years II - IV during their school-based
work placements.
 
In the report on the inspection,
the ETI found the care of and support for students to be outstanding.
The other areas considered (the quality of provision for learning, the standards achieved by the students,
and the effectiveness of leadership and management in securing improvement by raising achievement and
enhancing quality) were all deemed to be very good.
