St Mary's won the McNally Plate competition with an overwhelming
victory over UUC at the Dub on a score line of 4.20 to 2.2. The
College team reached the final after three wins in the round-robin
tournament against Queen's Seconds, UUJ Seconds and UUC.
The squad was superbly prepared by students Paul Heatley and
Martin Morgan as well as alumna Helen Ward. Team captain was Laura
McCreesh and player of the match was Mairead Conwell. The victory
was a whole squad affair with plenty of reserves on the bench.
