Kathryn Kavanagh graduated with a Liberal Arts degree
with Business Studies in 2002 and now works for an education software
company based in the Titanic Quarter.
Kathryn was back in College recently to assist the Careers Office
in its work of enhancing the employability of the Education and
Liberal Arts students at St Mary’s. She worked alongside
the College Careers Officer, Dr Tom Patton, and the Student Support
Officer, Mrs Joan McCombe, in workshops.
This venture is one example of how St Mary’s seeks to enhance
the student experience through collaboration between staff, students
and other stakeholders. High levels of student support, excellent
engagement by students and very good staff-student relationships
are some of the factors which account for the College’s
exceptional outcomes in the National Student Survey.
